Muna Youth

MUNA Youth

The goal of MUNA Youth Jamaica is to seek the pleasure of Allah by taking up tasks of improving the personal, moral, and social lives of the youth in America. We focus to give young men today, an education that cannot be taught in schools. We try to teach them about Islam in a way that can affect their lives, while still trying to make it a fun learning environment.

Our programs are much more than just learning. We play around, eat some food, and sometimes host events, and overnight events. We provide a place for young men to make friends with people with healthy mindsets and be able to play with them, rather than falling into the wrong crowd of people. Today’s generation is corrupted by social media, technology, and so-called “Influencers”. We try to steer kids away from these things and put them on a path to success.

We try to make our Weekly halaqas something to look forward to for our youngsters. The benefit from these halaqa’s is greatly beneficial. They will learn something in a way that will enlighten them, rather than them feeling bored and not paying attention. They also will be able to enjoy some food and hang out with young Muslims just like them. They will have something to look forward to in their schedules and will not want to miss it. We also host barbecues, Youth Nights, and Outings for them. We try to keep things light and fun for them so they will enjoy the programs.

We have 5 things we try to do in MUNA Youth:

1. Da’wah: To call Muslims to practice the commandments of Islam and introduce Islam to non-Muslims.

2. Organization: To organize those individuals under this organization, who are interested in working for the betterment of themselves and for society.

3. Social Service: To carry out social welfare services for the development of the society

4. Relationship: relationships with different organizations, religious and ethnic communities, and neighbors. To try to develop mutually beneficial relationships.

5. Education: To strive to improve an individual’s life through acquiring Islamic knowledge and skills.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “A man is upon the religion of his friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends.”: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2378

So, what are you waiting for? Come to youth programs, there’s no reason not to!
